Help With Incredimail - Deleted Items Will Not Delete "OR" Can not view mail or attachments in the deleted folder...
Q: Why isn't my 'Deleted Items' folder emptied when I use the 'Empty 'Deleted Items' folder' option?
A: The 'Deleted Items' folder contains the email messages deleted from your other folders. It is recommended that you empty the 'Deleted Items' folder from time to time, to avoid the build up of old and unnecessary email, which may slow down your email environment.
To empty the 'Deleted Items' folder, simply right-click the folder and select 'Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder'. If the 'Deleted Items' folder is not emptied, please follow these steps: Right-click the IncrediMail Tray Icon (orange envelope), located in the lower right corner (near the computer clock), and select 'Exit'.
Windows 2000 or XP users: Browse to the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile(Logon Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\Identities\{Long Number}\Message Store
Note: If you cannot view the 'Local Settings' folder, click here.
Windows 98 or ME users: Browse to the following location:
C:\Windows\Application Data\IM\Identities\{Long Number}\Message Store
Delete the 'Deleted Items.imm' and the 'Deleted Items.imh' files.
Open IncrediMail. Next time you wish to empty your 'Deleted Items' folder, simply right-click the folder and select 'Empty 'Deleted Items' folder'.
